My first set design showed this February as the backdrop to Von Ribbetrop's Watch at the East Lane Theatre.
This layout combines multiple rooms for a smaller stage than the play was originally written for. I picked forest and sage green scheme with dusky red accents for depth and contrast.
I converted this 3 bedroom rental property into a cosy eye-catching Airbnb.
This project required sourcing quality items from charity shops and trading sites to keep costs low and the project sustainable.
The resulting listing was highly successful. It had an occupation rate of over 70% and received 4.6 stars over 7 different bookings.
I restored the 80 year old wood floor by sanding it and coating it in an eco-friendly wax. Where possible the client's existing furniture was repurposed to keep the project cost effective and sustainable.
An electric blue paint was carried over from the walls to the ceiling to create a cave-like feel. This was balanced with bold colours throughout to embrace the client's eccentric personality.
I designed this room for a couple. The challenge was to provide a sleeping area and dressing room simultaneously to account for their different working hours.
A four poster bed with drapes creates a cocoon for the person lucky enough to have a lie-in that morning. An ottoman style was selected to provide ample storage and sage green was paired with navy blue for a calming environment.
This loft was designed to serve as a multifunctional home extension. It works as a self-contained studio, office or guest room.
Clever furniture placement varies the function of zones depending on ceiling height to maximise the use of space.
